JR Disposal runs on EVERY holiday except:

Those are the ONLY THREE HOLIDAYS we do not run because the landfill is closed.
If Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day falls on a weekday, your service will be ONE DAY BEHIND for the remainder of that week, and routes will run into Saturday.

If your regular pickup day falls on any holiday other than Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day, PUT YOUR TRASH OUT AS NORMAL.
If you do not put your trash out because you assumed we were closed, we will not return for a missed pickup.

We understand that no one likes additional fees, and we don’t like charging them either.
JR Disposal’s current fuel surcharge is temporary and is being used only to help offset a portion of the rapidly increasing fuel costs required to keep our trucks on the road and continue providing reliable service to our customers.
As of Memorial Day 2026, our current fuel surcharge does not even cover the cost of one gallon of fuel. It is important for our customers to understand that this surcharge is not covering all of our increased fuel expense, not even close. JR Disposal is continuing to absorb a significant portion of these additional costs ourselves.
We have also worked hard to keep our surcharge considerably lower than many competitors, some of whom are currently charging approximately 100% more in fuel surcharges.
We understand that rising costs are frustrating. We are frustrated too. Fuel prices affect every part of our operation, from residential routes to commercial service, equipment, maintenance, and transportation. This is not something we are doing to increase profits. It is something we are doing to help keep our locally owned company operating while fuel costs remain unusually high.
When fuel prices come down, our fuel surcharge will come down.
We also respectfully ask our customers to remember that our office staff did not create the fuel prices, and JR Disposal did not create the fuel prices. We cannot control or change what fuel costs at the pump.
Yelling at, insulting, threatening, or mistreating our employees will not lower the cost of fuel. Abusive or disrespectful treatment of our staff will result in termination of service.
If you are frustrated about what you are paying for fuel and how those costs are affecting families and businesses, we encourage you to contact your state and federal representatives and make your concerns known.
In the meantime, we simply ask for patience, understanding, and kindness toward the people answering your calls and serving your community.
We appreciate every customer who continues to support a local, family-owned business, and we will continue doing everything reasonably possible to keep our pricing fair while maintaining the level of service our customers depend on.

We want to personally thank you for trusting JR Disposal with your waste service. Many of you are not just customers to us, you are neighbors, friends, and members of the same communities we live in and are proud to serve.
We never like having to raise rates, and this decision was not made lightly. We have prayed about this at length and carefully evaluated every option available to us. Unfortunately, due to continued inflation and significant increases in the cost of operating our business, a rate adjustment has become necessary.
Over time, we have experienced substantial increases in several key areas, including:
• Commercial insurance, which has nearly doubled and continues to rise year after year
• Equipment, maintenance, and truck costs, including the purchase, maintenance, and repair of the best equipment and trucks in the industry, along with the parts and skilled labor required to keep them running reliably
• Landfill and disposal fees, which have increased steadily and directly impact every route we run
• Regulatory, compliance, and operational fees, which are required to operate legally and responsibly and continue to grow each year
• Employee cost of living, wages, and benefits, as we are committed to taking care of our team so we can continue to attract and retain the very best people
Our employees are the backbone of JR Disposal. Investing in them allows us to maintain dependable service, consistent routes, and the level of care our customers have come to expect.
Even with this adjustment, we want you to know that JR Disposal remains competitively priced, and we are still less expensive than most competitors, especially when compared to companies operating with the same or lower standards. We proudly operate with the best equipment and trucks in the industry, and we stand behind the quality of service we provide.
